The study investigated the use of tofu whey, a by-product of tofu production, as a sustainable alternative in podological care, involving 30 volunteers over 100 days. The tofu whey serum, rich in proteins, oligosaccharides, and isoflavones, significantly improved foot skin hydration, reduced dead skin, and decreased skin peeling. Its effectiveness is linked to its nourishing and antioxidant properties, enhanced by fermentation, which provides amino acids and minerals with antimicrobial and immunomodulatory effects. The research supports tofu whey as a valuable ingredient in sustainable cosmetics, aligning with zero-waste and waterless trends.
