TLDR Low Level Laser Therapy can promote hair growth.
Nine years ago, Dr. Sharon Keene wrote a three-part series on Low Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) for hair restoration. The first part, "The Science of LLLT," explored the scientific principles behind the use of LLLT in promoting hair growth. The second part, "Regulation of LLLT Devices from a U.S. and International Perspective," discussed the regulatory aspects of LLLT devices. The third part, "Controlled Trials and Understanding the Methods for Accurate Hair Counts," focused on the methods used in clinical trials to accurately count hair growth after LLLT treatment. The series was published in the Hair Transplant Forum International in November 2014.
