TLDR Chestnut flower extract may help reduce prostate cancer growth.
The study investigated the effects of Castanea sativa Mill. flower extract on prostate cancer in a rat model, where the cancer was induced both hormonally and chemically. The research aimed to explore potential therapeutic benefits of the extract in managing prostate cancer. The findings suggested that the extract had a significant impact on reducing tumor growth and progression in the treated rats compared to the control group. This indicated that Castanea sativa Mill. flower extract could have potential as a natural treatment option for prostate cancer, although further studies would be necessary to confirm these effects in humans.
