TLDR Intrinsic religiosity is linked to a conservative political orientation.
This study, conducted with 201 participants via Amazon's MTurk, explored the relationship between perceived stress, happiness, religiosity, and political orientation, using System Justification Theory and Moral Foundations Theory. It found a significant effect between intrinsic religiosity and conservative political orientation. The research aimed to help social and behavioral scientists understand stress differences and coping mechanisms, suggesting that mitigating stress levels could lead to positive social change and reduced healthcare costs.
