TLDR Post-COVID-19 patients are at risk for hair loss.
The study aimed to investigate the relationship between post-COVID-19 infection and telogen effluvium in patients at Klinik Sukma. Using chi-square analysis on data collected via questionnaires and pull tests, it was found that 35 out of 63 patients (55.6%) experienced hair loss post-COVID-19. Although there was no statistically significant relationship between COVID-19 infection and hair loss (p=0.471), COVID-19 patients were 1.2 times more likely to experience hair loss. The study concludes that post-COVID-19 patients are at risk for telogen effluvium, and further multivariate analysis on other factors is needed.
