TLDR The herbal gel effectively treats folliculitis with fewer side effects.
The study explores the development of a polyherbal gel containing Phyllanthus emblica, Eclipta alba, Melaleuca alternifolia, and Simmondsia chinensis for treating folliculitis, a skin condition caused by microorganisms like Staphylococcus aureus. Conventional treatments often lead to side effects such as skin irritation and antimicrobial resistance. The herbal gel aims to offer a safer and more effective alternative due to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties. The formulation is designed to enhance drug delivery, reduce infection, relieve inflammation, and promote healing, supporting the integration of traditional herbal medicine into modern treatments.
