    The study reports the successful treatment of tinea capitis caused by Microsporum canis in an 8-year-old child using a four-week course of oral griseofulvin and ketoconazole 2% scalp solution. The patient showed significant clinical and mycological improvement without adverse effects. Comprehensive diagnostic methods confirmed the diagnosis. The findings support griseofulvin's effectiveness for treating tinea capitis caused by Microsporum species and highlight the importance of thorough diagnostic evaluations to determine the best treatment approach.
