Experimental Study of Karaviradya Taila for Its Hair Growth Action

The study investigated the effects of Karaviradya taila on hair growth in Wistar albino rats. The results showed a reduction in hair growth and a decrease in hair follicles in the test group compared to the control group. Histopathological analysis revealed a loss of hair shafts in most hair follicles. The reduction in hair density is attributed to the properties of the ingredients in Karaviradya taila, such as laghu ruksha, tikshna guna, ushna veerya, and pitta vardhaka, which may affect hair follicles and cause hair loss.
