TLDR Minoxidil in Espumil foam stays stable for at least 90 days at room temperature.
The study aimed to determine the stability of minoxidil in Espumil Foam Base, a hydroalcoholic compounding vehicle designed to minimize greasiness, itching, burning, and contact dermatitis. Minoxidil was compounded into a 50-mg/mL solution and stored in a plastic foam-activating bottle at room temperature. Stability was assessed over 90 days using a validated high-performance liquid chromatography method. The results indicated that minoxidil remained stable for at least 90 days when stored at room temperature and protected from light.
