TLDR Male sperm disorders significantly contribute to infertility.
The study aimed to analyze spermogram data in men diagnosed with infertility to identify common sperm disorders. It included men aged 20-45, a period of high reproductive activity, and compared infertile men with a control group of 40 healthy, fertile men with confirmed paternity. Participants abstained from sexual activity for 3-5 days before providing samples, and were instructed to avoid medications, alcohol, and thermal procedures. Sperm parameters such as concentration, motility, morphology, and percentage of live forms were assessed using light microscopy. The study highlights that male factors contribute to 40-50% of infertility cases, emphasizing the importance of understanding sperm pathologies in addressing infertility.
