Pattern of Skin Diseases at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur

    The study conducted at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, analyzed the spectrum of skin disorders in 1816 patients attending the outpatient Department of Dermatology. The most common disorders were infections and infestations, affecting 1068 patients (59%), followed by eczemas in 450 patients (24.9%), and appendigeal disorders in 268 patients (14.6%). The study concluded that communicable skin diseases are the most common, and public awareness campaigns and health reforms are needed to address the situation and reduce the healthcare burden.
