TLDR Monoclonal antibodies LT-1, LT-2, and LT-7 help diagnose certain blood cancers.
The study investigates the use of monoclonal antibodies LT-1, LT-2, and LT-7 in diagnosing lymphoproliferative diseases by examining their interaction with normal and neoplastic hematopoietic cells. The research included 120 patients with various forms of leukemia and lymphomas. LT-1 and LT-2 antibodies detect a 67,000 D antigen on T-cells and B-lymphocytes, aligning with CD5 characteristics, while LT-7 identifies a 40,000 D antigen on T-cells, corresponding to CD7. These antibodies facilitate the diagnosis of acute and chronic lymphoid neoplasias in the T-cell series.
