TLDR Gender identity doesn't determine who people are attracted to or their sexual practices.
The study investigated the structure of sexual identity and its relationship with sex object choice and sexual difference in individuals with sex differentiation disorders. Through semi-structured interviews with 7 adult patients, including those with 5-alpha-reductase type-2 deficiency and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, it concluded that sex was experienced as trauma. The findings indicated that gender identification, whether male, female, or other, did not determine the choice of sex object, the genders of partners, or sexual practices.
