TLDR A 15-year-old girl with missed periods was diagnosed with a pituitary disorder and treated with hormones and steroids.
A 15-year-old girl presented with secondary amenorrhea, having missed her menstrual periods for 5 months after previously regular cycles since menarche at age 12. She also reported decreased vaginal discharge, low energy, loss of appetite, unintentional weight loss of 8 lbs (3.6 kg), cold intolerance, increased thirst and urination, and longstanding headaches attributed to school stress. She did not experience hair loss, constipation, or dry skin, and her symptoms had persisted for 2 to 3 weeks before the visit.
