TLDR Telogen effluvium is a common hair loss where hair sheds due to stress but new hair still grows.
Telogen effluvium (TE) was identified as the second most common type of hair loss diagnosed by dermatologists. It occurred due to a change in the number of hair follicles growing hair, often triggered by a shock to the system, leading to excessive shedding of resting or telogen hair. Despite the shedding, new hair continued to grow.
