TLDR Rituximab effectively treated a woman's bone lymphoma that was resistant to other treatments.
The document described a case where a 58-year-old woman with an aggressive, chemotherapy and radiation-resistant form of diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma affecting her bones was successfully treated with rituximab. This treatment led to significant improvements, including pain relief, elimination of the need for analgesia, and restored mobility. Radiographic studies conducted 22 months after treatment showed marked improvement in her pelvic disease, and there was no evidence of recurrent lymphoma 11 months following that. The case highlighted rituximab's potential to induce a dramatic and long-lasting remission in patients with bone lymphoma resistant to conventional therapies.
