TLDR Hair transplantation can improve scars after removing a rare skin cancer.
The document presents a case of a 61-year-old woman with a recurrent Microcystic adnexal carcinoma (MAC), a rare skin cancer, on her right eyebrow. The cancer was successfully removed through total excisional surgery and A-T Flap surgery. After two years without recurrence, hair transplantation using the Follicular Unit Transplantation method was performed on the scarred area. The study emphasizes the importance of considering MAC in differential diagnosis due to its aggressive nature, and the necessity of complete surgical excision and long-term follow-up. It also suggests that the follicular unit transplantation technique can be beneficial for treating scars resulting from MAC excisional surgery.
