TLDR The conclusion is that the tested yogurts from Bangladesh are rich in vitamins thiamine and riboflavin, and the testing method is reliable.
The study successfully quantified thiamine and riboflavin in 22 samples of GI branded yogurt and whey from Bogura, Bangladesh, using RP-HPLC with a fluorescence detector. The method showed high accuracy with correlation coefficients of 0.9975 for thiamine and 0.9974 for riboflavin, and recovery rates of 97.70% for thiamine and 105.40% for riboflavin. Thiamine content in yogurt samples ranged from 0.0647 to 0.1396 mg/100 g, while riboflavin ranged from 0.0227 to 0.3749 mg/100 g, indicating that these yogurts are a good source of these vitamins. The study highlights the nutritional value of the yogurts, which are rich in thiamine and riboflavin, and confirms the reliability of the HPLC method for analyzing these nutrients in dairy products.
