The study assessed the quality of life among 70 patients with alopecia areata at a clinic in Assiut, Egypt, using various questionnaires. Results indicated that the condition significantly impacts patients' quality of life, with a moderate effect noted regarding hair loss. Most participants were young adults, predominantly male, married, with secondary education, and unemployed. Depression and anxiety were common, though few had a family history of dermatological diseases. The study found a positive correlation between age and treatment line with quality of life, but no correlation with sex, education, or knowledge. The findings highlight the importance of considering quality of life in managing alopecia areata.
