TLDR Long COVID is more common in those with severe initial infections, but not linked to blood group.
This study analyzed the prevalence of Long COVID and its association with blood group among 196 participants in Islamabad. The majority of participants experienced acute symptoms, with fatigue being the most persistent. After four weeks, 63.3% reported new symptoms like hair loss. Females were more likely to experience Long COVID symptoms, which were significantly associated with the perceived severity of the acute infection. However, no association was found between Long COVID and blood group. The findings suggest that those with severe acute infections are more likely to develop Long COVID, indicating a need for further research on early aggressive care.
