Preparation of a Hair Cleansing Tonic for Hair Loss Control Based on Aloe Vera and Red Onion in Puerto Wilches, Santander, Colombia

The study aimed to develop a hair cleansing tonic using Aloe vera and red onion (Allium cepa) to control hair loss in Puerto Wilches, Santander, Colombia. Seven formulations were tested, and the one meeting the best texture and durability standards was selected. A microbiology lab confirmed that the chosen formulation met Colombian technical standards (NTC 1689) for microbiological safety. A sensory test involving 30 panelists was conducted, and the product was deemed effective for promoting hair growth and other attributes, supporting the project's hypothesis.
