TLDR Fatigue, loss of taste and smell, and cough are common long-term symptoms after COVID-19.
A cross-sectional study in Benghazi, Libya, involving 325 participants who had recovered from COVID-19 for at least two months, found that fatigue, loss of taste and smell, and cough were the most common persistent symptoms of post-COVID syndrome (PCS). The majority of participants were aged 40-69, and 71.4% had experienced mild infections. Treatment primarily involved vitamins, analgesics, and minerals. Age and gender were significant predictors of PCS, while treatment protocols and symptoms like cough, diarrhea, and headache were not significant indicators.
