Post-COVID syndrome is a multisystem disorder affecting individuals after recovering from acute COVID-19, with symptoms lasting over three months. This review analyzed 14 studies and found that common symptoms include fatigue (71.4%), shortness of breath (64.1%), anxiety/depression (35.7%), and cognitive deficits (21.4%). Hair loss affected 14.2% of individuals. The review highlights the significant impact on various organs and the increased risks of cardiovascular issues, chronic pulmonary disease, and acute kidney injury. It emphasizes the need for further research to understand the pathogenesis and develop management strategies for these long-term effects.
