TLDR The combined laser and plasma jet therapy effectively regrew hair in a woman with alopecia areata.
This case study documented the treatment of a 38-year-old woman with alopecia areata using a combination of laser photobiomodulation and plasma jet therapy over 3 months, involving 14 sessions. The treatment, which included a 660nm wavelength laser, a plasma jet device, growth factors, and hyaluronic acid, resulted in significant hair regrowth as evidenced by photographic comparisons. The study concluded that this combined therapy was effective due to the biomodulation effects and dermo-cosmetic treatments enhancing the therapeutic stimulus.
