Plants used in Traditional Treatment for Boils in Turkey

    The study reviewed ethnobotanical research in Turkey and identified 171 plant taxa used in the traditional treatment of boils, a skin disease caused by Staphylococcus aureus. It provided details on the scientific and local names, families, parts used, and usage patterns of these plants. The research evaluated the biological activities of commonly used genera such as Allium, Brassica, Malva, and Plantago by examining existing literature.
