Phytochemical investigation and hair growth studies on the rhizomes of Nardostachys jatamansi DC
January 2011
in “Pharmacognosy magazine”
The study investigated the rhizomes of Nardostachys jatamansi DC, isolating three terpenoid compounds: nardal, jatamansic acid, and nardin. These compounds were identified using various spectral data techniques. The crude extract, fractions, and two isolated compounds were tested for hair growth activity, showing promising results in promoting hair growth.
