TLDR Patients were very satisfied with hair regrowth after taking ritlecitinib for alopecia areata.
The study on ritlecitinib for treating severe alopecia areata (AA) found that patients reported high satisfaction with hair regrowth after taking the medication. Participants in the ALLEGRO phase 2b/3 study used the Patient Satisfaction with Hair Growth tool to express their satisfaction. Those who took ritlecitinib for 12 months showed greater satisfaction with their hair growth compared to those on a placebo for the first 6 months. After switching from placebo to ritlecitinib, patients reported increased satisfaction by Week 48. The satisfaction levels aligned with the hair growth improvements observed by doctors, indicating that ritlecitinib effectively enhances patient satisfaction by promoting hair regrowth.
