TLDR The combination treatment effectively and safely cured scalp microsporia in children faster and prevented recurrence.
The study aimed to optimize the treatment of scalp microsporia in children by using a combination of systemic antimycotic griseofulvin, Antral, 2% sertaconazole nitrate cream, and the probiotic-vitamin-mineral complex Bion 3 Kid. The study involved 90 patients aged 4 to 17 years, divided into three groups, with treatment durations ranging from 2 to 5 weeks. The combination therapy led to clinical and etiological recovery in all patients, reduced treatment time by 1 week, and prevented recurrence of the disease and concomitant colds. The treatment was well-tolerated, with no adverse changes in blood and urine tests, demonstrating the method's effectiveness and safety for treating scalp microsporia in children.
