Studysummary The project aims to validate a nutritional intervention targeting the Redox–NO–Androgen Axis to restore mitochondrial, endothelial, and hormonal balance in male health disorders related to oxidative stress. Our plain-language summary of this paper — not a Tressless recommendation.
This project explores a systems framework to address male health disorders like erectile dysfunction, infertility, prostate disease, metabolic syndrome, and androgenic alopecia, all linked by the breakdown of the Redox–NO–Androgen Axis. The hypothesis is that nutritional modulation can restore this axis, re-establishing metabolic equilibrium and reversing endocrine dysfunctions. The study proposes a multi-axis nutritional model involving 23 nutrients across four modules: Redox–Antioxidant, Endothelial–NO, Endocrine–Androgen Modulation, and Mitochondrial Bioenergetic. These nutrients aim to restore NO bioavailability, reduce oxidative stress, rebalance testosterone/DHT dynamics, and enhance mitochondrial function. The project highlights the potential of nutritional systems pharmacology in treating male health issues by addressing underlying biochemical interdependencies rather than isolated symptoms.
