Novel trends of frequency, demographics and clinical presentation of skin disorders in only public hospital in south of Lahore: A Descriptive observational study over 1 year.

This observational retrospective study conducted at Lahore General Hospital analyzed 65,284 patients over one year to identify patterns in skin diseases across different demographics and seasons. The study found that 62% of patients were female, and the most affected age group was 21-40 years. Scabies was the most prevalent skin condition, affecting 27% of the population, followed by tinea and acne. The incidence of skin disorders was highest during the summer months. The study concludes that infectious diseases, particularly fungal infections and scabies, significantly contribute to the dermatological burden in the population, although they are treatable.
