TLDR The new polymer improves dyed hair's color, moisture, shine, and smoothness.
The study evaluated a novel hybrid polymer composed of hydrolyzed protein, alkyl chain, and silicone for hair treatment. It was found to be effective in preventing discoloration of dyed hair and enhancing the moisture feel. The polymer demonstrated good substantivity, contributing to improved hair luster, manageability, smoothness, and combability, particularly in damaged hair. A sensory test with shampoo containing the polymer, even when highly diluted, supported these findings.
