No Relationship Between Perceived Health Anomalies and Perceived Experimental Success in Retired Breeder Male Hartley Albino Guinea Pigs

The study investigated whether there was a seasonal variation in the perceived health of retired breeder male Hartley Albino guinea pigs and if this affected the success of cardiac research experiments. Researchers recorded health anomalies such as weight or hair loss and heart irregularities, and compared these with the ability to complete experiments. The results indicated no monthly variations in perceived health or correlations with experimental success, suggesting that mild health issues common during shipping did not significantly impact the ability to conduct ex vivo whole-heart electrophysiological studies.
