New 4,800W, 810 nm Diode Laser with a Spot Size of 20x15 mm for Permanent Hair Removal: Pilot Clinical Study

The pilot clinical study evaluated a new 4,800 W, 810 nm diode laser with a 20x15 mm spot size for permanent hair removal, involving two subjects and eight treatments. The laser demonstrated effective, safe, and fast hair removal, achieving a mean hair reduction of 74.4% in one session, with treatment times ranging from 2 to 13 minutes. The device was effective on both large and small areas, using static and dynamic modes, and reported no side effects other than perifollicular edema, which was desirable. The study concluded that the new laser applicator was highly effective and expected to produce permanent results in fewer sessions, with enhanced comfort and safety due to its sapphire-crystal cooling system.
