TLDR Minoxidil in breast milk may harm nursing infants.
The study reports on a case of a hypertensive woman who was treated with minoxidil during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The study found that minoxidil was rapidly excreted into breast milk, and prolonged exposure during breastfeeding may be harmful to the nursing infant. The study suggests that physicians should be aware of the possible risk of exposing infants to minoxidil through breast milk.
