TLDR Minoxidil and botulinum toxin are equally effective for treating female hair loss.
This study compared the effectiveness of intralesional minoxidil 8% and botulinum toxin (BTX-A) in treating female pattern hair loss (FPHL) using dermoscopic evaluation. It involved 20 patients, with 10 receiving two sessions of BTX-A and the other 10 receiving three sessions of minoxidil. The results showed that both treatments were effective, with no statistically significant difference in outcomes between the two groups. The study concluded that BTX-A and minoxidil are equally effective in managing FPHL.
