TLDR Micropigmentation is a good and safe method to improve the look of scalp and eyebrow scars.
Micropigmentation is a safe and effective procedure for improving the cosmetic appearance of scars on the scalp and eyebrows. In a study of 18 patients, 94% showed excellent or good results with no complications. The pigments initially occupied the deep dermis but remained in the superficial dermis after three weeks, with no significant changes between four weeks and one year. This suggests that the pigments are removed from the deep dermis relatively quickly and remain in the superficial dermis long-term. Overall, micropigmentation is a worthwhile practice for treating scalp and eyebrow scars.
