    Image of study
TLDR Microneedling with PRP and minoxidil (5%) improves hair growth more than minoxidil (5%) alone.
The study compared the efficacy of microneedling with PRP plus minoxidil (5%) versus minoxidil (5%) alone in men with androgenetic alopecia grade 3 to 5 vertex. 50 patients were randomly divided into two groups of 25 patients each. The study found that the combination of microneedling with PRP and minoxidil (5%) was more effective than minoxidil (5%) alone in improving hair growth, based on both patient and physician assessments. The study suggests that noninvasive management for androgenetic alopecia is safe, effective, and a promising tool for hair growth. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods are needed to assess the effects of these treatments.
