The review explored the medicinal potential of three agricultural weed species from the Asteraceae family: Ageratum conyzoides L., Tridax procumbens L., and Bidens pilosa L. These plants, traditionally used for therapeutic purposes, were found to have significant phytochemical and pharmacological properties. The study highlighted the lack of awareness and proper screening as barriers to their use in pharmaceuticals. It suggested that further clinical investigations could better define their medicinal applications, potentially leading to their conservation rather than eradication.
