This study analyzed data from 267,009 patients with malignant cutaneous melanoma in the USA, revealing that Hispanic/Latinos (HL) have significantly lower melanoma-specific survival (MSS) compared to non-Hispanic/Latino Whites (NHL). HL patients were more often diagnosed at a younger age and with more advanced stages of melanoma. Factors such as female sex, white race, higher income, and primary tumors in the extremities were associated with increased MSS, while older age at diagnosis, advanced lesion stage, and certain treatments were linked to decreased MSS. The study highlights the need to address health disparities and barriers to adequate care for HL patients.
