TLDR The hair lotion from Ganoderma lucidum extract effectively promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss.
The study investigated a hair lotion developed from Ganoderma lucidum spore extract for treating alopecia. Initially tested on C57BL/6 mice, the lotion increased follicle numbers by over 50% and follicle diameter by up to 10 times. In male mice, DHT levels significantly decreased, while estradiol levels increased; female mice showed a significant decrease in testosterone levels. In human trials, the lotion promoted new follicle growth, reduced hair loss, and improved hair strength and appearance, with 99% of participants accepting the formula. The lotion demonstrated high technological and industrial potential as a cosmetic product.
