TLDR Men need tailored laser and energy-based cosmetic treatments.
The review article discussed the increasing demand for cosmetic treatments using lasers and energy-based devices among men and highlighted the lack of literature addressing male-specific approaches. The authors conducted a literature search and provided sex-specific recommendations for treating common male cosmetic concerns such as photo-/actinic damage, acne scarring, rhinophyma, hair removal, axillary hyperhidrosis, and loose neck/submental skin. They concluded that tailored treatment approaches with these devices should be used to best serve male cosmetic patients.
