The study "Knowledge about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Effect of Lifestyle Habits among Medical Students of North India" surveyed 100 undergraduate medical students and found that 84% of them were already aware of PCOS, a common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age. There was a significant association between the awareness of PCOS and the gender of the study population. Additionally, 80% of the students were aware of the lifestyle changes that can affect PCOS, and there was a significant association between knowledge about lifestyle modifications in PCOS and knowledge about the etiology of PCOS. The study concludes that PCOS is a growing problem in women of reproductive age and early screening is necessary to prevent lifelong complications.
