A 54-year-old woman with hypotrichosis congenita of Marie Unna was studied. She was born with normal hair, but during adolescence, her scalp hair became sparse, forming a pattern similar to androgenetic alopecia of the Ludwig type, though asymmetrical. Her remaining hair was coarse, and she had almost no eyebrows or eyelashes, with sparse body hair. Her nails, teeth, and other ectodermal structures were normal.
