Holistic Analysis of Hair Health: Investigating Care Strategies, Lifestyle Influences, and Advancements in Treatment Innovations
TLDR Hair health is influenced by genetics, lifestyle, and modern treatments, but practical solutions are limited.
This study explores the multifaceted factors affecting hair health, including genetic predisposition, lifestyle choices, and the effectiveness of modern hair treatments. Conducted with 170 survey respondents and 30 in-person interviews, the research found that 41.2% of individuals had a family history of hair issues, with hereditary hair thinning and early greying being common. Lifestyle factors such as stress, poor diet, and dehydration were significant contributors to hair loss. Despite a preference for natural and herbal products by 61.2% of consumers, 46.5% still used chemical treatments, highlighting a gap between awareness and behavior. Environmental factors like hard water and pollution were widely recognized as detrimental, yet practical solutions remain limited. Innovative treatments like laser therapy and PRP were favored, though cost and accessibility pose challenges.
