Studysummary In this study, a herbal hair wax stick incorporating extracts of Tulsi, Amla, and Bhringraj was formulated and evaluated, with the F3 formulation showing the best balance of pH, spreadability, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activity, suggesting it as a natural alternative to synthetic hair styling products. Our plain-language summary of this paper — not a Tressless recommendation.
This study developed a herbal hair wax stick using natural ingredients like Tulsi, Amla, and Bhringraj extracts, combined with a wax base of beeswax, cetostearyl alcohol, soft paraffin, and natural oils. Three formulations (F1, F2, and F3) were evaluated for their physical properties, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities. Phytochemical analysis confirmed the presence of beneficial compounds such as flavonoids and phenolics. Among the formulations, F3 demonstrated the best performance with suitable pH, good spreadability, and higher antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The study concludes that the herbal hair wax stick is a safe, stable, and effective natural alternative to synthetic hair styling products.
