    Herbal shampoos are gaining popularity as they offer natural and eco-friendly alternatives to conventional shampoos, which often contain harsh chemicals that can damage hair and irritate the scalp. This review highlights the therapeutic benefits of herbal shampoos, which include antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-dandruff, conditioning, and hair growth-promoting effects, thanks to bioactive plant extracts like Reetha, Shikakai, Amla, Neem, Hibiscus, Aloe vera, and Bhringraj. The paper discusses formulation strategies, extraction methods, and challenges such as standardization and preservation. It also emphasizes the importance of integrating nanotechnology and conducting clinical trials to enhance product consistency and efficacy. Overall, herbal shampoos blend traditional knowledge with modern science, offering sustainable hair care solutions.
