TLDR Hair-thread tourniquet syndrome needs more awareness and discussion in dermatology.
Hair-thread tourniquet syndrome (HTTS) was a condition resulting from the circumferential constriction of an appendage, typically by hair or thread, which led to circulation obstruction and ischemia. The document presented a case of HTTS and explored the demographics and etiology of the condition. It also reviewed the most current treatment methods available at the time, highlighting the need for awareness and discussion in the Dermatology field, as the condition, while not rare, was not extensively covered in the literature.
