TLDR Many Hijabi women worry about hair loss, but fewer actually experience it.
The study surveyed 186 Hijabi women to explore their concerns and practices related to hair loss. Results showed that 65% of respondents worried about alopecia, but only 37.4% noticed it. Common practices included wearing hair in a bun (64.7%) and using materials like cotton, chiffon, and jersey for hijabs. Most women received haircare information from social media (52.7%) and the internet (47.3%). The study highlights the need for dermatologists to provide targeted health education to address hair loss concerns in this population.
