TLDR Argan oil in hair tonic increases hair growth and weight in mice, with the best results at 3% concentration.
The study investigated the hair growth promoting effects of argan oil in hair tonic nanoemulsion preparations at concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3% on mice over a period of 21 days. Argan oil, known for its oleic acid, linoleic acid, and tocopherol content, can prevent hair loss, strengthen hair, and protect against harmful hair cosmetics and UV radiation. The results showed that all concentrations of argan oil increased hair growth and weight, with the 3% concentration showing the most significant increase (3.484 mm in length and 0.0111 in weight). In contrast, the negative control led to a decrease in hair length and weight. Therefore, argan oil in hair tonic nanoemulsion preparations promotes hair growth in mice.
