TLDR Green tea extract gel safely increases eyelash length.
The study aimed to develop a stable, effective, and safe green tea extract (GTE) gel for eyelash growth. The formulated gel underwent stability testing at various temperatures and an eye irritation test using a hen's egg test-chorioallantoic membrane assay, showing no irritation. The efficacy of the gel was evaluated on human volunteers over a 2-month period, with measurements taken before and after application. Results indicated that the GTE gel was stable under different storage conditions and significantly increased eyelash length in the test group compared to the placebo group (p<0.05), suggesting that GTE gel is a viable and safe product for enhancing eyelash growth.
